Hi!

Welcome to my bio page & our web site! I have been with this awesome team since late 2000. I feel so lucky to be part of such a special and talented team of woman that share the same love of this sport as I do.

I grew up on an old dairy farm and was always on a horse's back. In my younger years, besides wanting of course to be a jockey or a trick rider (ha, ha!), I have always enjoyed going out for trail rides, gaming in 4-H and best of all competing in rodeo. Being on a rodeo drill team, I am able to combine the awesome sport of rodeo with the team aspect of drill.

Being on a drill team I am able to spend a lot of time with close friends & family. I have gotten one of my best friends, Corrine, to join our team. She has only been seriously riding for a couple of years now but I have rarely seen someone with such natural talent & drive. It is so cool because my Mom and little sister are both on the team with me. They actually joined first and I soon followed. My sister, Petee and I grew up in this environment as kids as my Mom was on a team called The Challengers and my Dad rode with the Thurston County Sheriff's Posse. I have such fond memories of being at their practices and competitions and now it feels very natural to find myself doing the same. Our Mom & Dad were (and still are) both such gifted horse people and we really look up to them. It is great to follow their footsteps and continue this tradition. Instead of us running up & down the aisle ways and bleachers, I now have little nephews who have taken our place! It's great!.

Besides drilling I love to go Cow Penning, Cow Sorting and working my young Quarter Horses. I was blessed 2 years ago when I acquired my Dun Quarter Horse Mare, Suzie. She is everything you could want in a horse. We still have lots to learn together but she will be with me forever. Her first night of drill practice she acted like she had been doing it for years. Always ready and willing for whatever I want her to do. All I have to do is keep her injury free! (She is a little accident prone). I do have my "good old boy" Rollie for backup when Suzie's out of commission. If you've ever watched the movie Grumpy Old Men, that is him.

Lisa & FriendHe will drill but he'd much rather be eating or sleeping in the pasture. I also have a couple of young ones who I am sure will find their place in this sport of drill. I have already begun prepping them to be great drill horses one day.

Currently I am the team's Vice-Captain. I love being very involved and this is my way to really help be an asset for the team besides being just a riding member. I really enjoy making this the greatest team there is and let me tell ya, it's a huge commitment. My poor boyfriend, Andy, isn't a horse person but he really admires me and my team for what we do. I love that we aren't afraid of traveling great distances seeking out teams like us to compete against and to really give us a run for our money. We are a small team but we are very mighty! We are very determined, beautiful and an outgoing bunch with a lot of goals.

So watch out, here we come!
