JACKIE RYAN
My name is Jackie Ryan. I have lived in Chehalis my entire life, and wouldn’t change it for the world. I have been married to my husband Jake since 2002 and we have two wonderful boys, Kayden and Colton. I have been riding horses since I was old enough to walk! I enjoy trail riding, rodeo, gaming, drill, and team penning, but my true passion is barrel racing! Anyone who says it’s easy has never tried it…the rush of adrenaline and speed, combined with precision and timing is addicting, and I’m hooked! I have several horses. My truly amazing mare, Flozzi Impressive, “Josie” has been with me since 1995. She is a beautiful 16 hand dun. We have spent many wonderful years together, winning our share of money, ribbons, tack, and awards. She is now on light duty due to being diagnosed with navicular disease in 2009. My current drill horse is Josie’s last foal, Impress Sergent Poco, “Sarg.” He is a huge 16.2 hand bay. When you don’t see me drilling on him, you can find him at a barrel race with my sister Sirena. My third horse is my 10 year old, sorrel, barrel mare, First Down Dolly “Baby.” I started her on barrels in 2009, she is doing incredible, already bringing home money! She had her first foal in 2008, First Down Perksey, “Perksey,” is smart, athletic, and will be a great barrel horse one day! Watch for us in the winner’s circle!
I began working in childcare in 1998, and have never looked back. I establish my first childcare center “Little Inspirations Childcare Center, LLC” in Chehalis in 2003; and then expanded in 2007, opening a second location in Centralia. I provide quality childcare and preschool in a creative, warm, friendly, nurturing environment; ensuring that all children have a safe and loving child care experience. My goal is to implement developmentally appropriate practices, which facilitate the children’s ability to learn, grow, and develop to their fullest potential.
I have been a member of American Made Rodeo Drill Team since 2007, and look forward to many more years of excitement and competition!
