Hi! My name is Marissa Apeland and this is my first year on American Made Rodeo Drill
Team. I am so excited to be here. My riding back ground is pretty limited, in fact I never even sat on a horse until I was enrolled in a Equestrian Riding Rehabilitation program during my last stint at federal prison. It was the most amazing thing I ever experienced! I can honestly say that horses have changed my life! When I got out American Made agreed to take me on and teach me how to ride for a community outreach project. I feel so lucky to be a member of this team! These girls have taught me so much and they never once judged me or even made me feel bad on account that I don't have a lot of experience or that I have to wear an ankle tracker so my parole officer knows where I am an any given time. Anyway, I just can't wait to jump in to all of the rodeos and competitions American Made has planned this summer! I am really excited about the team's trip next year to Nevada for the Reno Rodeo! Hopefully by then I will be allowed to leave the state! So come check us out this summer! I hope to see you!
